Win32run is an unusual browser-based interactive experience that recreates the environment of an old desktop operating system inside a webpage. Instead of a traditional game with levels or missions, the project simulates a simplified version of the Windows XP interface that users can explore directly in a browser. The idea is to recreate the look and functionality of early-2000s computer systems using modern web technology while allowing players to interact with programs, folders, and classic applications.

Exploring A Simulated Desktop

When players start Win32run, the interface loads a desktop that resembles the classic Windows XP environment. The familiar layout includes a start menu, taskbar, and desktop icons that open different programs. Players can navigate through windows, move files, and launch built-in tools much like they would on a real computer system.
