Two players must work together to keep an aircraft operational while different technical failures appear inside the cockpit. One player controls the Pilot and directly interacts with the plane’s systems, while the second player acts as the Air Traffic Controller and provides instructions using manuals and flight information. The gameplay depends on communication, coordination, and solving problems quickly before the aircraft crashes.

Flight Emergencies and Main Objectives

The main objective in Don’t Panic! It is Just Turbulence is surviving dangerous flight situations and landing the aircraft safely. Each mission introduces different emergencies that affect the plane’s systems. Some failures involve engine damage, while others disable navigation equipment, electricity, or communication systems. The players must identify the problem and complete the correct sequence of actions to stabilize the aircraft.

The game does not focus on a traditional story campaign but instead uses a series of connected emergency flights. Every mission creates a new situation with different aircraft models and cockpit layouts. Early levels introduce the basic controls and communication structure, while later stages become more difficult because several systems can fail simultaneously.

Gameplay and Communication Mechanics

The gameplay is built around cooperation between both players. The Pilot can see the cockpit and interact with controls but cannot access the full emergency instructions. The Air Traffic Controller has manuals and technical data but cannot operate the aircraft directly.
